Mostly no. Transparent or black HDPE nets are hard to notice from inside the flat, and invisible grills are thin 2–2.5 mm stainless-steel cables spaced 2–3 inches apart, so light, air and the view stay open.
Safety net or invisible grill — which should I choose?
Choose a safety net for a lower-cost, removable option that also keeps pigeons out; choose invisible grills for a permanent, rigid, low-visibility barrier. We recommend one after seeing your floor, railing and budget during the free site visit.
How long does installation take?
A typical balcony net takes 2–4 hours. Invisible grills usually take half a day to a full day, depending on the width of the opening.
